Modern Blues Band is one of the most popular blues teams in Russia. During comparatively short time of its existence group has achieved the very important result - Modern Blues Band has won the hearts of true blues lovers.

Gia Dzagnidze and Modern Blues Band's repertoir consists of original blues standards, classical soul and rock pieces as well as author's compositions based on the best traditions of jazz and rock music. Style of group is recognizable and characterized by energetic performance manner perfectly combined with keen understanding of blues nuances.

Modern Blues Band, founded in 1995 by Georgian musician Gia Dzagnidze, has united the group of professional musicians performing in due time with such well-known bands as Georgy Garanian's big band, Alexey Kozlov's quintet, Anatoly Kroll's orchestra, Con Alma and Cadence groups.

Modern Blues Band is participant and prizewinner of numerous, rock and pop festivals in Russia, Georgia, Denmark and other countries. Group is equally cordially welcome by audience of small clubs and big cities stadium.

History of Modern Blues Band witnessed some co-performances with acknowledged maitres of blues and jazz stage. Co-performing with world know Winton Marsales' big band at the concert devoted to USA Independence Day became was one of such significant events of group's lie.
Bygone year 2001 was especially successful for the band. In March Modern Blues Band c0-performed with Irish group "The Taste". In April group took part in First Moscow Blues Festival "Ves' Etot Blues. (All the blues). Blues.ru - 2001".

In October musicians, particularly loved by American community of Moscow, have become the special guests of concert devoted to 10 th anniversary of famous American magazine "Readers Digest". And December brought to Modern Blues Band the great honor together with Crossroads band to represent Russia at the Second International Music Festival "Blues Summit", gathering the most popular bluesmen of USA, Great Britain, Ireland, Poland and Baltic countries.
